The great marble neoclassical building has been the home of the U.S. Supreme Court, the nation's highest court since 1934.  You may tour the building (not the courtroom) on your own. Sessions (the first Monday in October and continues until the end of June) are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis (limited seating). Open:  Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm.
