The Anacostia Museum is the Smithsonian Institution's museum of African American history and culture, the facility explores and displays history, art and culture that represent traditions of families, organizations, individuals, and communities of the African-American way of life.  The museum also supports and encourages the collection, protection, and preservation of materials to further develop end enhance it's mission.
