The National Air and Space Museum is the world's most visited museum houses the Wright Brothers' 1903 Flyer, John Glenn's Freedom 7 Mercury Capsule, Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis, Apollo 11 lunar command module and an incredible collection of aviation and space technology treasures. Samuel P. Langley Theater shows spectacular IMAX film daily (admission). Albert Einstein Planetarium presents a free program on the constellations (daily at 3 p.m.).

Open: Daily 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (except December 25); extended summer hours determined annually. Group tours, tours for visitors with disabilities and theater/planetarium bookings by appointment; call (202) 357-1400 or (202) 357-1505 (TTY).  Admission: Free. Metro: L'Enfant Plaza, Maryland Ave. exit.
